I have coupe of questions on EcMap (Sybase Product). Need the below questions answered asap.

Currently we have Sybase EcMap 5.2 version and we are connection to Sybase 15.0.3 database. We are planning to do an upgrade from Sybase 15 to either Sybase 16 or Oracle 12C.

So we need to know if the current version of Sybase EcMap 5.2 will support Sybase 16 or Oracle 12C once we have the database and drivers installed? Or do we need to go for an upgrade of EcMap from 5.2 to any version to support these database Sybase 16 or Oracle 12C. Please let me know. Thanks

I do not have control center. When I tried Export wizard from "Data" menu in Sybase Interactive SQL (Version-11.0.1) on windows, I got error "There is nothing to export".

We are migrating from  32 bit  asp.net website to 64 bit asp.net website. 

we have number of stored procedure calls  calling Sybase.Data.AseClient.dll in  "EXEC sp_test ?   " format from our database  layer.

with the new 64 bit DLL  Sybase.ADONet4.ASEClient.dll   the above SP call format is throwing an exception  Incorrect syntax near '?'.

following is the stack trace

I've written a web service that connects to and ASE and creates some data. It works fine when deployed to Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 but not on Windows Server 2012.

Here's the error...

System.Data.EntityException: The underlying provider failed on Open. ---> Sybase.Data.AseCleint.AseException: Could not load code page for requested charset.

After googling I found some folks setting the charset in the connection string. I tried that and it worked! My question is why do I have to do that for Windows Server 2012?

Environment is the following...

Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard

IIS 8.5

ASE PC Client 15.7.0.130000

EntityFramework 5.0

Unless I'm missing something, I could not determine which OS and version the file I am about to download will run on.  I contacted SAP to clarify and I was told to post my question here.

It's remarkable to me that the person I chatted with could not answer some basic question and directed me to this forum.  At the very least OS and version should be listed on the download webpage.  Additionally, what version of Sybase will I be downloading 16 or 15.7.

Hi all,

We have an application in Solaris which we are currently migrating to Linux.

We are using ASE 15.0.2 in Solaris and now in Linux we installed ASE-16.0.

When I am trying to make a DB call using srv_bind i am getting the below error.

"CS-Library error 2/1/1/6 - cs_will_convert: cslib user api layer: external error: An illegal value of 63 was given for parameter desttype."

The call is,

srv_bind(srvproc, CS_GET, SRV_RPCDATA,<<VAL>>, <<DATA>>,  <<PARAMETER VALUE>>,  <<PARAMTER LENGTH>>, <<VAL>>)

Can some one help me resolve this issue..
